Regency Hyde Park

Overlooking Hyde Park in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, the Regency Hyde Park residential tower is a prominent 28-storey building that combines modern residential living with heritage architectural elements. We were engaged to undertake a facade remediation and painting works for the space. 

This project was designed to restore and protect the building’s exterior while enhancing its long-term performance and presentation.

As a fully tenanted residential tower, the project required detailed planning and careful coordination to minimise disruption to residents while maintaining safe access throughout the building. Communication was key components of the project, ensuring residents, building management, and consultants remained informed throughout each stage of the works.

To complete works on the upper levels facing Elizabeth Street we employed innovative solutions. To safely access all elevations, a combination of swing stages, engineered access systems, and specialist scaffolding solutions were utilised. The project also required two B-Class hoardings, with works progressing simultaneously across multiple elevations and access platforms to maintain programme efficiency.

A significant component of the project involved the restoration of heritage façade elements facing Castlereagh Street. These works required specialist stonemasonry repairs and timber window remediation to preserve the building’s architectural character. Careful attention was given to maintaining the integrity of these heritage features while integrating them with the broader façade refurbishment program.

The completed works have enhanced the building’s appearance, improved asset durability, and extended the service life of key façade elements.
